How does the sauna work?
The sauna works by heating water to create steam, which increases the humidity and temperature of the air.
How hot does the sauna get?
The sauna can heat up internally to 54°C with almost 100% humidity, which can subjectively feel hotter and place more strain on the cardiovascular system.
Why? Water has a higher heat capacity than air. When you are in a steam sauna, the air is saturated with water vapor which transfers more heat energy to your body than dry air would at the same temperature.
This is why the temperature in steam saunas is lower, but the humidity can make it just as intense, if not more intense, than a dry sauna.
How do I clean the sauna?
The inside of the heat-insulated cover is designed to help prevent the build-up of mold and bacteria.
A quick-drying and machine-washable absorbent sweat mat is included with every order. After use, it is recommended to leave the door flap open for ventilation and wipe the water vapor from the interior walls.
